I Fought a Dragon Toe

I am trying to get Sia at max level so I can get her kitted out and dungeon worthy by Sunday. A full Master Huntsman later she is sitting pretty at level 66. So it was off to the personal story. Tybalt was a hoot! I loved the apples phrase he used when he was Demmi. Lovely apples indeed you naughty charr... And I liked to have really lost it when he charged in and bolted the doors. My apple buddy! I shall miss you!

Whom do they replace him with? A cabbage with a sword gifted to him from the Pale Tree. Where the heck is my sword? Where the heck is my Rally the frickin Troops Speech? Them first born bastards are a talkative lime light steeling bunch of weeds...*sniff* They took my Tybalt my funny funny Tybalt and replaced him with this guy? Time to make a salad!

After all the gift givings and future walkings were done, it was back to Cla-rw Island for some dragon toe splintering! It really is my first dragon type thingie, not counting the dragon in the sylvari starter instance. It had grubs, it had poison, and I wish I could feel a bit more than a pesky ant pinching my way to victory. Hence le epic camera angle in the last picture. *grin*

How about the other races personal story lines? And more grit-teeth inducing forced partner changes in the works?

Please tell me that this is an actual ship we can command. Nothing says 'I am a bad ass pirate' better than sailing the Tyrian Seas in the corpse of a dead Mammoth!
Ahh yes we meet again, Toe of the Foe I Cannot See completely!

The best face shot I have of the darn thing that ate my Tybalt.

First Yay for Healing Spring! Second Yay for not looking so small and tasty in this screen shot!

  1. I think Trahearne is probably the most hated of the signature NPCs. He is pretty good at making speeches.... but yeah, that is the only good thing going for him.

As for the other storylines... I won't go into it here as to not spoil things to anyone. But from this point on it is isn't too different for everyone except for the decisions you get to make as things go forward.

Oh, and I loved that battle too. It scared the hell out of me the first time we had to fight the dragon. The second time it wasn't so scary but it was still cool. :)

    1. ohh the atmosphere was fantastic. You got to feel the despair of being over run by dead things. I equate the Risen to zombies, which is why not getting a chainsaw greatsword broke my heart *sadpanda*

Maybe TreeThorn-in-the-butt will grow on me. His voice is soothing, but I just cant get the feeling that he is stealing my limelight. Hint A-net players are heroes not champions to NPCs.

    2. Maybe some entrepreneur charr will invent the sword-chainsaw in Guild Wars 2. I mean, it is just screams charr!

Hope so. I am getting close to the end of storyline and he still didn't grow on me. In fact I used to be neutral towards him in the beginning but the sheer amount of incompetence he has shown every time I had to drag him with me gave me a big grudge towards the guy. And yeah, I was expecting to be the one calling the shots after the events on that island. But nope, Trahearne just trolled me to it. I swear, if I am given an opportunity I am just leaving him to the risen, get to some safe place and watch everything while eating popcorn.

  2. The Shatterer's lieutenant , the level 50 Dragon is pretty feeble. Tequatl's lieut is better at 60. Claw of Jormag at 80, is excellent.

In each case you get to stab them in the foot.

    1. I begin to see a pattern there... I can't wait for the Claw of Jor. I have heard from guild mates that he is an awesome fight.

  3. Oh man I am so far away from that stuff. I'm only level 22, then again I only get to play about twice a week. Nevertheless, I look forward to seeing the huge ugly dragon toe and cleaving it in two, then setting it on fire...and then making a pot out of the ashes...then mailing the pot to myself where I'll smash it with a HAMMER! Then I'll let the dog pee on it.

    Fear me dragon...fear me.

  4. I had the same feeling when I switched from apples to cabbages. :P Fortunately since I'm a completionist and ran a sylvari next, Trahearne became a bit more bearable because that character met him very early in the story and fleshed him out a bit more. Sylvari story also adds more connection to Tegwen and Carys too (you'll meet em eventually).

  5. Oh forgot to mention, Sylvari also seem to have the main story against the Orrians too - which means they start fighting undead from level 1. *bleh*

All the other races start quest lines against the undead at level 21.
